ALO, the Los Angeles-founded fashion and lifestyle brand, is entering China by partnering with Tmall as the exclusive e-commerce platform. The move underscores Tmall as the preferred gateway for international brands targeting high‑value Chinese shoppers.
Launching on August 12, the Tmall flagship store will offer Chinese shoppers direct access to ALO’s products, featuring premium women's and men's apparel, footwear, accessories, and wellness essentials, including the latest collections and seasonal products. In addition, the store will offer tailored local customer services to deliver a hassle-free shopping experience.
According to Tmall data, sales at ALO’s official flagship store surpassed RMB 10 million within one minute of pre-sale checkout opening at 12:30 a.m. on August 12, setting a new sales record for a newly launched brand in Tmall’s sports and outdoor category.

With the debut of the flagship, ALO gains access to Tmall’s high‑value consumer base, including more than 62 million 88VIP members, Alibaba’s high‑spending consumer tier.
“We are delighted to partner with ALO as its exclusive e-commerce platform in China. The partnership reinforces Tmall’s position as the go-to choice for global brands in China seeking high-value customers and scalable growth,” said Gu Di, General Manager of Sports and Outdoors at Taobao and Tmall Group. “We greatly look forward to growing ALO’s fantastic community across China and supporting the brand's continued expansion in one of the world's most dynamic fashion and wellness lifestyle markets."
Since launching in 2007, ALO has become a global leader in the Wellness movement, emphasizing studio-to-street designs that effortlessly transition off the mat and into the day. Its Tmall exclusive e-commerce flagship will lay the groundwork for ALO’s continued expansion in China.
